every time I go to register for courses here at UNCC I get pissed at the non user friendly way it's done here. I'd love a utility that helps me visualize potential schedules As I go. Anyone know of any software tyT makes it easier to visualize a class schedule as you try to choose sections, etc?

pickaproff does this, but you have to enter your classes manually on PaP.

There's Tracster and XTracs at State, but I don't know of anything at UNCC.

^ That's what I was going to suggest. But considering it's insanely obvious to use that, there must be some good reason it wasn't used in the first place...

I'll give ical a shot. The issue is that UNCC isn't as established or sophisticated as NC State yet. I went to state for a year in '02 and even THEN the registration tools were way better than what we have here (the automated system at UNCC fucking blows, even the professors state it constantly).

That and they're growing so quickly here that class availability is absolute shit even weeks or months out because of lack of professors to add new sections. So in order to get a class I have to pick three or four sections that are already full and request to be placed on the waiting list, if one of those falls through I'd probably have to repeat the process. It's easy to see this as not a big deal when you're at State, which as I said is a better school from this issue's standpoint.
