Just got a new computer...d/l itunes...authorized it and tried to sync my ipod (to transfer my music)...

Apparently it will only transfer music I purchased from itunes (and even then, it didn't transfer some songs I recently purchased!!!)

I tried importing songs from the hidden music folder, but I had to do that 1 at a time...talk about a waste of time! So I'm trying to copy the songs to a folder on my hd, to hopefully try to import into itunes when they are done transferring.

Will this work? I'm so pissed...itunes makes life so friggin' difficult!

the instructions i found told me to manually import the songs, thankyouverymuch.

I'm not manually importing like 500 songs, 1 at a time.

just do the add folder thing or drag them all into the library.. importing just moves them to a new location so itunes can manage the file. either way works

hahah itunes! unless you have a mac, be prepared for data loss and frustration.

no really, try out winamp, and i hope you have your music backed up.

In my experience, "sync" is apparently apple-speak for "format drive"
