so I got a session friday on my bike and im not real keen on riding up there in my full gear at 5am with all my tools in my backpack, 2 sessions, and then riding back. anyone else going and want to split the gas of a truck? I'd rent a truck but apparently you cannot rent anything other than a plain car under 25.

its like a 1 hour drive... 5am is cool enough for a full suit.

just do it.

its only like 90 mins from Raleigh, very doable and I've done it a few times hauling my camera equipment up there.

I was gonna be there with NESBA on Friday but I had to put work first......again

The full course is gonna tire you out if you haven't done it much.

If VIR were closer to 95 I'd say you could load your bike in the back of my truck since I'm heading up to VA early Friday. Sorry.

i wouldn't be worried about making the ride on a sportbike and doing it in full leathers.

i'd be mostly concerned about balling the bike up and having no way to get home, but i guess that could happen on a run through the backroads, and i'd be concerned that i REALLY wouldn't feel like riding home after a track day.

well my dad has a truck but won't let me use for anything motorcycle related otherwise I'd just throw it in the back of that. I wonder if the 540 has a hidden tow hitch

^Why not just track your current bike and get a new daily driver? Or is this one beyond repair?

that RC51 definitely isn't worth repairing to street status.

it might be worth throwing some track plastics on it and making it a track whore (have to see it up close)

Poor RC, never got to see yours in person. So I guess you did put the new tires on it.

its not bad at all. I just need an upper front, fairing stay, tail section, front fender, and clutch master cyl. definitely gonna fix it for the street.

I am not a bike person but I want to go to the AMA races in a few months just to take pictures. Seems to be more 'emotion' in bike pictures as you can see the entire rider v tin top cars. I love open wheel for this reason in photographs. Should be fun.

I went up there yesterday to the Patriot and it was hot! Ha ha but I wasn't the one in full race leathers. I should have checked Friday to see that there was availability but I didn't think there would be. There were only 12 dudes including my babe and like 4 people crashed.

I was there a few weeks ago at the South course. I had a blast!

On a second note, it was pretty awesome to get to see Ferraris, Z06s, M3s and suped up Porsches riding by. They never even slowed down for turns... The Big Kahoona in Augst ya'll!

yeah, in the paddock on friday there was a C6 z06 with a blower, r-comps, cage, and exhaust and who knows what else. I really wanted to see it start up but the guy didn't appear to be around.

you aint gonna find free used R comps. if they're free, they're toast.

hit up some scca or nasa forums. people sell this cheap.

whats the size of the 4x100?

i picked up a set of toyo RA1 for 15X7 rims for $220 for all 4. ive used them at 4 track events and there is still rubber on them. you can find some killer deals if you just look around.

ive got some 13" rims with tires you can have for free. If you squint hard enough they look like r comps!
