i burned a .iso file on to a DVD -R. the computer will not read it. is there anyway around this? i always thought DVD RW (read/write) was the issue.

I always use DVD-R to burn my isos never had any problems with it.

from what I remember DVD-R are the most compatible among the four types......what'd you use to burn it?

did you actually just burn an iso file to the disk?

did you burn the actual iso file on the disk, or did you burn the image that the iso file had? there's a big difference

i was using IBM Record now. i used an app called "PowerISO" and it worked fine. working on a server. pain in the ass. been building this thing since 7am.

InfraRecorder works well for ISO discs for me.
