Wondering if there are any stores in the Va Beach area (or Chesapeake) that are known for their employees' expertise in fitting athletic shoes (kinda like the running store near State, with the treadmill). I have flat (and narrow) feet so its really hard to find the "perfect" shoe. We don't have any options here in the Outer Banks so I'm trying to get it right while I'm up there, instead of having to make multiple trips to find the right fit. If it helps, I'm not actually looking for a running shoe...more of a cross-trainer (at least, that's what I think I need).

Got mine from the Norfolk location, they watch you run and all that jazz, choose the right shoe for your running type, fit you, etc.

yes. I know quite a few people who have gone there and they have been treated really well. They find just the right shoe, tell you to go out and run around the duck trail for a little bit and then come back and see how comfortable it is.

struck out. I need cross-trainers and none of the running stores carried them. this is so frustrating!
