I'm looking to buy a pub table and was wondering if anyone here has bought one locally. I don't want to order it online or drive outside of the triangle area to buy one.
Any suggestions? 7/29/2008 6:09:53 PM |

I've got a pizza parlor style base you can buy if you want to make your own. 7/29/2008 6:24:00 PM |

^^ Target has some on their website, but I didn't see any in the store when I went the other day.
I'm thinking of spending no more than $200; hopefully less.

there is a place on glenwood out past carmax on the right that sells only dinnette sets and bar tables/bar stools- and they have some pretty nice stuff for reasonable prices 7/29/2008 7:17:05 PM |

I bought one online from Target a few months back and it came out looking pretty good. I think with shipping and everything it came to around $170. 7/29/2008 9:50:14 PM |

In my process of looking for a dining room table and chairs, I've seen tons of pub tables on Craigslist. 7/29/2008 11:10:42 PM |

That place was kind of pricey. You could try looking at gameworld off capital or some other place that sells pool tables. They usually have some. 7/30/2008 8:58:09 AM |

we got ours from bed bath and beyond.. pretty cheap and it is sooo much better than our old huge kitchen table. we hardly ever eat there and it saves a ton of space. 7/30/2008 10:35:13 AM |

I looked around everywhere and finally found one on craigslist for under $100 with chairs. The wood top was thinner than the $300 models but I didn't care. 7/30/2008 10:38:32 AM |

I know I said I didn't want to order online but I found this nice set on target.com that has free shipping.

I like that it's a square, and not a circle. I still going to check some of the stores you all suggested before I buy it.

I bought a great bar-height table from Ashley Furniture a while back- its fairly large though, and was expensive. I'd say check out their showroom for one. Back when I was looking- I couldn't find any, anywhere. I've seen more of them since though.
Anyhow- they have a store right next to Triangle Town Center.
[Edited on July 31, 2008 at 4:05 PM. Reason : (well, it's only large when you have the leaf in- it's much smaller without)] 7/31/2008 4:04:19 PM |

I got mine from Target online because that was the only place where I could find a relatively cheap 42" table that I could use my old barstools with. 7/31/2008 6:05:01 PM |
