that's like the equivalent of someone trying to jam an ATX power connection into a 9800GX2 these days, and cutting off the remaining 16-pins because all they needed was 8-pins... or something like that.

When the year 2000 rolled around apparently the local cable station didn't have compatible equipment (Y2k OMG!), so the date displayed on the local advertising station rolled back to 1972.
