I havn't read the greatest things in the world about this teacher from the reviews. So i figured I'd ask. Who has taken a Mowat Physics course through distance education?
Is it possible to get an A or B putting in 1-2hours of work a day into the course? I'll probably have perfect attendance if that matters. I got Cs on my physics tests in summer physics 1 at unc-wilmington but did well on the lab/final and got a B. I am no genius the only way i get problems right is by studying, not thinking outside the box.
Also does DE physics take the same common exam as everyone else? I am at UNCW for fall and theres no physics 2 in the fall so this is my only option. Oh yeah im going into Electrical engineering if that matters too since this is electric physics... 8/4/2008 12:02:41 AM |

i liked mowat--he can be slightly crochety, especially outside of class, but he generally welcomes/appreciates inquiry and explaining problems. it's definitely possible to get an A or B in his class with good attendance and ~an hour or so of work a day.
idk if de takes the common exam or not. 8/4/2008 12:34:29 AM |

i would think you could make an A or B in pretty much any class by spending 2 hours a day, but if you made C's in mechanics, that might be a stretch...either way, i would highly suggest you don't try to squeak by in 208 if you want to go into EE 8/4/2008 12:35:45 AM |
