And let us start it off with everyone's favorite Jet
Jerricho Cotchery! Follow the link for an ESPN interview with him on of all things, Brett Favre. If the video does not work in Firefox, try Explorer. Its good to see NYJ's #2 receiver getting the media attention he deserves.

As for the team roster what do you think are the key additions and key losses that will be felt into Week 17?
Is picking up Favre a good move for the franchise, or will letting Pennington go to a division rival give us 2 more losses?
Is Alan Faneca too old or a veteran Mangold needs to lead him to stardom?
Will letting Vilma go take away a defense threat to big to fill? Is Kris Jenkins the guy to do such that? Will Darrelle Revis become the CB play maker we need?
All you can say is...
J!-E!-T!-S! JETS! JETS! JETS!

I'm glad to know that I didn't have to be the one to make this thread for a 3rd straight year. One guy you didn't mention in the intro was Calvin Pace. I think he, along with Jenkins will be able to fill the hole left by Vilma's departure. Hopefully, Gholston will get things going, and reach his potential. I like the additions of Faneca and Woody to the O-line, and think that they can help with Mangold and Ferguson. I can't wait for the season to start. I thought they could contend for a playoff spot before getting Brett. Now, who knows? I just get the feeling it's going to be a great season.
And yeah: J-E-T-S, Jets! Jets! Jets! 8/15/2008 12:37:30 AM |

1-0, with a potential Brady-less New England up next. Could be interesting. 9/7/2008 7:56:36 PM |

I was at the home opener last week. Met the owner (I didnt know it was him until after) and expressed my anger at PSL's. My Dad has had season tix for 20 years. If Schottenheimer calls some pass plays tonight we could be dangerous. Still waiting for Gholston to have his breakout game 9/22/2008 7:32:49 PM |

o hai where is everybody???
Time for a poll....
How long will it be until Jets fans turn on Brett Favre and start calling for Kellen Clemens?
A) This weekend when Kurt Warner is outplaying him
B) Next weekend when the Jets have a bye and fans can stew over the team’s 1-3 record
C) Four weeks from now when the Jets are last in the AFC East behind Miami
D) Never. Favre is a fun-lovin' gunslinger never meanin' no harm fella just havin’ fun out there whose act never gets old.
Yay Yay Yay! Hooray! oh wait who did we pick Boo Boo Boo!!! 9/23/2008 1:01:25 PM |

I don't know why you think it's laughable that Warner is outplaying anyone, the dude was an MVP of the league and an MVP of the superbowl9/23/2008 1:06:40 PM |

If the Jets! had picked up Kurt Warner in the off-season it would have been on page 5 and every fan would have been pissed they didn't go after Favre.9/23/2008 1:20:54 PM |

Epic Fail in SD last night.
I think its showing how our offense is still trying to figure out how to play together, and that Schotty needs to open the playbook up some.
I think our defense is whats needed to be worried about right now. With Jenkins out, we may have a bigger problem.
Time to take out ARI this sunday, head into the bye week 2-2 and come out swinging on the other side. 9/23/2008 4:43:53 PM |

6 TDs from Mr. Favre, and a total of 56 points. I'd say the offense showed up. Defense, well...at least they have a bye week to get things right. 2-2, with games against Cincy, Oakland, and KC right after the bye. 9/28/2008 7:34:30 PM |

Although the baseball team moved to San Francisco after the 1957 season, the football team continues to use "New York Football Giants" as its legal corporate name, and is often referred to as such by fans and sportscasters.[citation needed] The team has also gained several nicknames, including "Big Blue," the "G-Men," the "Big Blue Wrecking Crew," and the "Jints," a name seen frequently in the New York Post, originating from the baseball team when they were based in New York." |
