sucks.

Seriously... no leaving early ever bc he works from 7am until 7pm without a lunch pretty much everyday. I just don't know how anyone could hate their home life that much.

Fuck, i feel you on this one. I had a boss who lived in Charlotte but worked in Greensboro. He stayed in a hotel through the week and went home during the weekends. So he took the fact that he had to go back to a hotel on us, and we very rarely left the office before 7PM. Needless to say, I lasted 6 months at that place.

my boss is the worst about this

hes in the office all the damn time and trying to figure out where everyone is when we're not there (which is all the time)

he emails all day long is on his blackberry during any meeting and works all night sending emails at weird hours and always talks ab working on weekends

i do not subscribe to this. i shut off the laptop at 5pm and never work weekends unless its a special circumstance

the cell, however, i always have to answer that. but i can mute the tv

i've told bosses that before. unless i'm being paid for coming in after hours (after 5pm or the whatever the normal workday is), i'm not available. you can call, but i won't answer. if you do want me to work, it better be in my contract.

my home life is more important than their whims. i make exceptions for things that are my fault.

poor planning is not an emergency.
