I popped my head in to place a pickup order before running an errand nearby. I was gone for maybe 15 to 20 minutes. I come back and she says it will be another 10. It takes 30 minutes to make 2 burgers? Bullshit. She didn't put the order in. She also has yet to offer me anything to drink and I am sitting at the bar. I would have left 15 percent on $24 but now I am thinking more like 0.

I am assuming it was a sit down restaurant since you mentioned a bartender.

maybe next time go to a FAST FOOD restaurant if you want to-go food.

She forgot to put in your order b/c she is trying to make $$ of people who come in and sit down and tip, not act like a drive thru window worker for to-go orders.

And i know you are gonna say "oh i was gonna leave a tip"

but 9/10 times people dont tip on to-go food.

Uh, when you work at someone else's establishment you're not an entrepreneur, and when you're there as a server you should serve anyone who comes in the door with the requisite courteousness.

Snewf will internalize this bad experience and it will make him somewhat less likely to spend his money there. People who do this do not understand their station in life, and they're hurting the business they work for.

I used to always go to sit-down restaurants and order to-go orders. I always tipped approx 10% and I would order a coke to drink while I waited. I thought that was the norm. guess not

i had a real cunt for a waitress in the keys.

first of all, i ordered 2 cheese pizza slices. she brought me 2 pepperoni slices after like 5 minutes. i told her i ordered cheese. she told me "NO, you ordered pepperoni" in a very matter-of-fact tone. i insisted i ordered cheese, because i never order pepperoni (and 4 of the guys with me agreed i ordered cheese). so she relents, saying "ok, if you want cheese it's gonna be 15 minutes" in a real pissed off tone. i gave her a shitty look and said i would go ahead and eat the pepperoni if she wasnt gonna charge me for the topping.

she never gave any of us a single refill (even though were were one of TWO occupied tables at the place).

then, when it came to the bill, she slaps a single one down on the table. when we asked her if it could be split up she says "too late."

i really wanted to write "CUNT!" in the tip section of the bill.

i would not have paid for my meal at all in that case.

and i do not tip on a to go order. they hand me the food and i pay for it. how does that merit any sort of a tip?
