Hey Guys

I'm a 4th year graduate student with plenty of experience teaching and tutoring Chem 101/2 and 201/2 if you need some extra outside help. My specialty is inorganic materials chemistry, so if you are in 401 I can help you there too. Grad students taking chem 701 will cost a bit extra.

$20/hr individuals, $15/hr group sessions (each person)

PM me if you are interested
Good Luck!

This is a bit over the going rate for tutoring undergrads. You may find a few people who are "interested" but I would def be hitting up the chem tutorial center before paying $20 per hour.

Im sure you are better than what the chem tutorial offers but this is still a high rate.

For what I offer, I think I'm pretty reasonable. i've been doing this for 3 years in a row, never had a problem. Talk to Anita in the 1st floor of Dabney and ask for the private tutor list. They all range from $15-$30/hour, what I offer is a good deal. I'm also higher quality than most tutors. Above me are only the doctors.

And I am better than the tutorial center, by far. I do all the homework assignments before hand so there is no wasting time trying to 'figure out' the problem first. I know it immediately and can explain it well. I keep a test bank of 101/201 and 401 tests from previous years that I use to help students prepare for exams. It's also just me and the student so no waiting to get help. It's a paid service, I make it worth your $$. My students also don't fail.

^Doctors may be above you, all that demonstrates is your ability to comprehend the material, not pass it on to others. Many people below you can teach undergrad chem just as well as you.

Not gonna argue that, just making a point that cause he's near a doctorate doesn't make him better than undergrads. It's the other stuff that he listed that will make him better.

Where were you when I was dragging my feet in Intro to ORganic lol..

Okay - if you can "help" with HW problems and have test bank answers then your rate seems fair. Wasnt trying to hate, now that you have this out there, hopefully youll get some takers.

lol sorry i wasn't trying to argue or nothin, I just didn't want anyone to think I was in some way cheating them or something. I care about what I do and my reputation. At the same time, I do understand that this is the wolfweb, and bargaining is expected.
sorry for your organic troubles

I believe I relate pretty well to undergraduates who dont' get this shit. Believe it or not, at one time I didn't know any of it, and I didn't major in chemistry because I was any good at it, it was more curiosity. So I had to struggle trying to understand all the concepts, math, equations, and everything just like anybody else. But I'm here now and I know it all and I can teach it to you.

If I majored in what I'm good at I'd be a used car salesman. Or a drug dealer
