By that I mean if you intend to somehow show that the earth is getting cooler then by all means be my guest but I believe what you are looking for is evidence that humans are in no way responsible for their actions pertaining to climate change. *edit* Your intent may be quite the opposite of my implications. If they are then I apologize. I, on occasion, like to read what the "other side" has to say just to see what that the dense and obtuse population is alive and sad to say well.[Edited on August 21, 2008 at 10:31 PM. Reason : .]

might i suggest utilizing more professional sources, like scientific papers, articles, or journals? or at least government/educational sites?but hey, http://www.globalwarmingisaninventionofthecommunists.com/ might have some good info, tooalso, "global warming" is a misnomer...try to be realistic and use something valid like "global climate destabilization"[Edited on August 21, 2008 at 10:17 PM. ^^ you're welcome! though, if anything, i put text in your post, not words in your mouth i find it amusing how worked up people get over thisthe climate is destabilizing as a result of anthropogenic activities, the end...if you disagree, i respect your opinion, but you're still wrong...it's scary, i agree, and i don't blame the skeptics for being afraid, but at some point i expect they'll have to grow up and face reality...i won't even say "told you so"[Edited on August 21, 2008 at 10:27 PM. ^^^^^ You are so ignorant that you should be ashamed of it. You've bought the "scientific consensus" bullshit hook, line, and sinker. Too bad. I don't recall science ever saying "hey, there's a consensus, ok?" and that being valid. But hey, politicians will say that all the time.

^ i know, right? Science doesn't actually have to defend itself with valid data or anything. fuck that shit! just believe because Al Gore says so!
8/21/2008 10:39:16 PM
lol, science. and i bet you guys believe we actually went to the moon too
8/21/2008 10:40:29 PM
the notion that AGW is based on science is, in fact, laughable, so you are right, mang.but, really, if anyone actually wants to talk about this shit, then go look at the thread in TSB.http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=438755&page=53it's a long read, but I'd suggest starting at page 52 or so to hear about the latest "developments".
8/21/2008 10:41:50 PM
yeah, because there is always intelligent conversation in Soap Box
8/21/2008 10:43:26 PM
8/21/2008 10:44:43 PM
not in Soap Box either. TWW is the last place I would come for intelligent discussion of any kind

you'd be surprised, eric. when you wade past the flame-wars, there actually is something decent about it every now and then

anyone that thinks that the shit we are putting into the environment is not having an effect is seriously dillusional
8/21/2008 10:47:44 PM
oh, I'm sure it's having an effect. but the effect is so minimal at this point as to make it unimportant. it is the equivalent of pissing into niagara falls

^ ummm, no, it's unimportant because it is having NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER in comparison to the REAL DRIVERS OF OUR CLIMATE. this has nothing to do w/ "it won't affect me right now." This is "it will never affect me because it doesn't exist."^^ hey, feel free to enlighten us. I'd love to hear some actual evidence for the AGW argument at this point, because it's all been shot down, especially within the past couple months. THe sad part is, the American media is so hyped up to sell green shit to everyone now that we won't ever hear about it until the polar bears are in fucking florida.]

My only point is, you can argue the science of GW all you want. Trust me, I have a science related degree so I have done the research, and I understand both sides. And you can throw out all the political buzz phrases like "Al Gore" to fire everyone up all you want to make it a political issue. But the fact remains that there are things that you can do every day that cost you nothing, cause no inconvenience to you, and MOST LIKELY will make life better for future generations. So, I ask you, why not make a few minor changes in your lifestyle that JUST MIGHT have an effect down the road?I know it is hard for Republicans to think about the future, but you can't argue with common sense.
8/21/2008 11:03:33 PM
^ that's a great argument for conserving on an individual level. It's a horrible argument, though, for wrecking our entire economy in the name of an imaginary boogey-man such as AGW. I have nothing against conserving energy. I do it myself.
8/21/2008 11:06:47 PM
damn i really want to have this argument, but I have an 8AM meeting so I have to go to bed. i really hope someone that is at least half as intelligent as me can step up and give you a run. but i highly doubt it
8/21/2008 11:08:23 PM
hey man, anytime. but, likie I said, take it to TSB.
8/21/2008 11:08:53 PM
nah, i come here for entertainment. if I want to have political discussions I will just hang out wth my friends. all of them are redneck ultra-conservatives
8/21/2008 11:11:19 PM
haha, the worst types. the equivalent of the liberal hippie douches who just scream AGW all day long because they saw a movie
8/21/2008 11:12:24 PM
they are the "I am a Republican because my daddy told me I was" types, so we have some entertaining discussions.
