Hellooooo! I'm in the preliminary stages of starting up a dog photography business. I'd love to add other pets into the mix, however I don't have a huge array of other animals to add to my portfolio (just a couple cats and my bird). Soooo it's dogs for now (until someone asks for something else!)
At any rate, I'd love to have a super professional website but of course I don't have the funds to back that up. And, as this will be a secondary job, a $$$ site is not my priority.
I'll have a hard copy of my portfolio but I'd also like to have SOME sort of relatively professional (looking) website. I'm looking for something that, most importantly, allows clients to log-in via a password to view their proofs. Once I get my pricing smoothed out, it would be nice if they could select the images they want and transmit that information to me without having to write out everything in an email.
I want the site to be sleek, intuitive, and memorable. I've found that sites with music are annoying, so that is not a feature I care to include.
As it has been many years since any computer science courses, I've forgotten all but the most basic html. So, I'd like the site to be easy for ME to design, edit, and upload images to, yet I want to make sure that it is as unique as it can be.
Yes, I can google free websites, but I figure you all would have more knowledge of where to start.
So, suggest away 8/22/2008 12:55:07 PM |
