I found this program called Replay Media Catcher but of course i have to pay to get the whole benefit. The cracked version on demoniod doesn't work either.

Any other programs out there that work?

audacity + play stream.

audacity can record what audio is coming through the sound card. If you want to record the stream at a certain time and you're away.. audacity has a timer record option but you'll have to leave the stream playing.

I have been searching for a linux command line way to record from a flash stream and can't figure out how to crack the swf file to find the audio location.

*edit: Im assuming you mean an online audio feed that plays in flash?

I've successfully used Orbit Grab++ to get the FLV, the FLVExtract to separate the video and audio into mpeg audio and video.
