Let's talk about it.

Example #1:

the volume wheel on the front of my laptop. Any time my laptop rubs up against anything the volume of my music changes. ANNOYING.

The gas tank on my bike has a large partition on the bottom where a bar on the frame cuts through. The gas only exits on one side of the partition, though, so I can have a half of a gallon or so in the (wrong side of the) tank and run out.

cupholder on (at least, maybe more models) a 2000 mercury cougar

when i had it, i could not make sharp right turns with a top-heavy drink cup, i almost got in a wreck from a bojangles tea + a curvy road

in the bathrooms where i used to work the motion sensor was too high up and the pressure was too high, which meant you always got water on the counter. also, the sinks were waaay back from the edge which combined with the motion sensor meant you had wet pants every time unless you wiped down the counter

also, the motion sensors on the comodes were way too sensitive. wet asses are not fun. everyone would put mini post-its over the sensors but the cleaning staff would take them off every night.

Volume control on my laptop is a touchpad with no noticeable feel to it. Impossible to use when in the dark and hard to use in a room with full light.

Japanese kitchens are bad design 101. I fucking hate them

Here's a pretty good example of one:

That area in the far left you put a gas stove in. But then shit ends up falling in the cracks between the stove and the counter.

They're always that stainless steel crap which always looks dirty no matter how much you wipe it down.

There is only ONE drawer. ONE.

The top cabinets are only useful if you're a basketball player. Even on my tiptoes I can't reach the bottom shelf on the top cabinets.

You have just enough counter top space to fit one cutting board. If you want to cut stuff up AND mix it in a bowl AND have your ingredients out at the same time you're screwed. And you can forget about having a place to set a drying rack for your dishes.

And for some reason, the bottom cabinets never have shelves. If you want that you have to buy these crappy plastic things to put in and act like shelves.

HATE HATE HATE

We did and the new kitchen is the exact same way

Every apartment I've ever been in in this country has the exact same kitchen setup. It's kind of weird.

Have you ever thought to ask your neighbors to see how they use their kitchens? It's probably optimized for the japanese style of cooking and storage, and not the american one. not saying it's a poor design, just saying that it's probably a culturally biased one.

here's another one:

My iPhone lacks a hardkey that can be used for capturing photos.

^^ Yeah, I have done that and they hate their kitchens too lol. House kitchens here are usually a lot more ergonomic.

I just got back from the beach and the chairs I have have a handle on them. Only, when you carry them by the handle, they open, which makes you look like a fucking douche while carrying an open beach chair.

The top plate on the red Foreman grill. (the one with interchangeable plates)

Stupid-ass shape of the grooves makes it impossible to clean.

yeah we had this same issue when we switched to the newer software...i think we made ours reboot like 3-4 times before we learned how NOT to fuck it up.

foo1' poor design list:

Heavy duty-plastic staplers

feels like you're going to break it every time you try to use it..

I have a smaller older metal one that works better, jams less and doesn't feel like its going to break.

just go ahead and put every staple American car company in here if you're going to be a retard and not label why. Ford, chevy, and dodge are years behind the rest in ergonomics.

well i thought it was pretty obvious why ford's designs suck.

every other american auto makers' designs suck too. if i had to pick one i'd go with chevy, but that might just be b/c my dad and brother have always had them.

ford's ergonomics are the worst ever. i've never ridden in a dodge thankfully. they look like shit though.

see thats the thing... you're a chevy fan for the same reason so many people are christians... its just the way you were raised, its what you are used to.

Chevy is the worst and the best of the americans.... cause the new caddies have ballin interiors but a typical run of the mill chevy with its glued together plastic interior and delco stereo is worse than most fords... even the fuckus is better than a malibu imho

Fords suck because of their mechanical shortcomings, not their interior stylings.

you have trouble comprehending.
