I'm in the 9:10 - 10 AM MWF section. I'm having lots of trouble understanding what the hell is going on in this class. Anybody else have the same problem?
Does anyone want to study together?
Is there a private tutor any one would recommend for this course? Would anyone be willing to tutor me?
Thanks! 8/29/2008 1:09:50 PM |

I just took 341 over the summer (2nd session) and did well. I don't know if I have time to tutor you regularly, but I can probably answer some of your questions. 8/29/2008 5:42:03 PM |

Can anyone help me start this problem or explain it?
Verify that psi(x) = 2/(1-ce^(x)), where c is an arbitrary constant, is a one-parameter family of solutions to
dy/dx = (y*(y-2))/2
Graph the solution curves.
I don't understand why y is in the second equation, but not the first. I have no idea how to even begin this problem. Thank you! 9/2/2008 6:04:29 PM |

My understanding of math is largely dependent on my teachers ability to explain it.
I had great calc 1 and 2 teachers, made an A in both courses.
I could not understand my calc 3 professors accent, even when I went to her office hours for help, so I made a C in that class.
I can't understand my differential equations teachers accent and the book isn't helping me much here. I would really appreciate it if someone could offer me their old notes/homeworks OR offer to tutor me.
There must be some English-speaking math students capable of explaining this stuff out there somewhere. 9/2/2008 10:03:12 PM |

the most important thing i've learned in college so far is how to learn stuff on my own. learned it quick freshman year and have used it many times since then. 9/2/2008 10:29:25 PM |

I've taught myself many subjects since entering college including physical chemistry.
However, this one is proving exceptionally difficult.
I would really appreciate any help here guys. Thanks in advance! 9/2/2008 10:47:12 PM |

Anyone making progress on either of these problems?
y'' + y = tant + exp(3t) -1
