I've managed to make my groin area really sore from football. Its hard to lift my leg past 30 degrees, although I can lift my leg with no pain using my hands. I aggravated it last Friday from sprinting a lot/doing lineman stuff and I thought I was better today, and then this evening I started running and the pain was immediately back. Now it is worse from a game of football (yeah, don't play injured, it was football time though)

Suggestions?

K, so I found this thread message_topic.aspx?topic=378936 but still looking for specific advice and/or help to avoid this in the future.

Well, I ended up having a banana, roughly 4 ibuprofen, 2 protein drinks, and a bunch of water before heading out, where I drank a decent amount of beer and mixed drinks. My legs feel a TON better, but we'll see tomorrow.

i didn't think about that

I actually didn't have that much to drink, and it was all spread out through the night.

rest up for a week or so. then do some light exercise to see how it feels. If it's still there try to massage it some. If it's not, warm up with some running and stretch it out.

Sure it's pain from a cramp and not a pulled groin?

^Not sure what the difference is, but one side will hurt when i do stuff like flex my abs. I'll probably do some exercise later and see what's up.
