Does anybody know of a great program that can host files to an AppleTV and PS3? If possible I'd like to also have it do simple file hosting too. I've got a bunch of hard drives (ranging from 150 gb up to 500 gb) that I'd like to host a couple seasons of TV shows that I own on DVD.
I need to find a way to rip the shows from DVD to the PC and then host them. I would think using my two PS3s would be the fastest way to encode the files, but don't know how to go about this.

This is for a Mac anyway, I assume you've got one if you have AppleTV. There are plenty of apps that do this for PCs though. Nero MediaHome is the most popular.

Hacking the AppleTV is not an option.
The host is a Intel PC, not a mac.
I'll look at home to see what I had been using to share to the PS3, but it causes severe problems with iTunes and even more problems when attempting to work with the PS3. 9/15/2008 4:47:08 PM |
