what's some bullshit is that if you want to be excused, you have to show up on a wednesday at 2pm to do it

that'd destroy a whole workday for me since i work probably 70 miles from the courthouse, if not more

I would assume you do have to go if they don't talk to you. If the letter was lost in the mail or something they'd just assume you were abandoning jury duty and be very angry at you.

last time i had jury duty i went in like 45 minutes late, hungover as fuck, and was like "bitch, i DONT want to be here"...she tried to cop an attitude and said "well, NONE of us want to be here" and i was like "bitch dont sas me, i go to ncsu, dont even live in alamance co anymore"...she quieted down real quick after that and let me go...

once fall freshman year, got it moved to may since i wasnt at school then(wrote a letter)...the one in may i call up and apparently they had a thunderstorm that wiped a computer clean, so the womans like we dont have a record of it, dont worry about it...third time is the time i went...fourth time is the time i went in hungover and was like i dont want to be here, go to ncsu etc
