ok..im going to pull the "poor little female" act for a moment. my lawnmower (just bought in july, a power pushmower) started spitting oil out the left side and smoking this afternoon. there is nothing about this in the troubleshooting section of the manual....any ideas as to what the problem might be, or where i can start looking when it cools down? 9/13/2008 4:45:37 PM |

a little more info on the model of the mower couldn't hurt.. did it quit running when that happened? i'd be looking for where the oil is coming from first off.. is there a hole in the motor or anything or is it coming out the exhaust or what? 9/13/2008 4:59:48 PM |

assuming you bought it new...
#1 did you put oil in it when you brought it home before you used it?
#2 like ^^ said, did you overfill it?
#3 ^ has a good idea, but if you bought it from home depot more than 30 days ago, you wont get your money back. they will take the mower and send it back to the factory to get fixed. 9/13/2008 7:08:21 PM |
