It's not that bad really. And there wasn't really anything on there about law, just logic.

If you think the LSAT is bad...law school is going to be a big wake up call.

And I'm not going to even get into the Bar exam....*shudders

have fun. it is horrible

just because it is so freaking long, though. it isn't like overly difficult. just freaking annoying to sit through. and i always feel cracked out coming out of situations like that.

G LUCK!

law school is hell. if you do poorly on the LSAT it is no big loss. trust me. go learn a trade or something. i know i would seriously think twice about it if I could go back.

I took it with no prep work beforehand 2 years ago

Just signed up, showed up and took it and did pretty well

I think its one of those things where studying can only help you marginally

You're either good at the type of questions they ask, or you're not

[Edited on October 23, 2008 at 4:11 PM. Reason : scores are good for 5 years so I got a 171 in my back pocket till 2012 if I decide to get my JD on]

i only studied to be familiar with the format and to learn how to manage the logic games. but the other parts cant really be studied for much i dont think.

Its not really "studying" that helps - but I think getting used to the format and the time constaint is useful, as well as getting familiar with the types of questions asked. After you take a dozen or so test it gets more obvious what answer they are looking for.

Some study in informal logic probably wouldn't hurt either.

I dropped some dough on a prep course after being disappointed with my first score. It helped to see how the questions were made and what to look for in the answers. Some tips, like skimming the answers before reading the question, can help you get an understanding of what the tester will be looking for. After retaking it (some 3 years after my first attempt) my score went up by 7 points and increased my percentile ranking by about 30%.
