looks good. couple questions...

have you tried making your own reflectivity palette? did you get your street level stuff going?

also, i stuck the shapefiles for the roads in guilford and wake counties on my thumb drive and have them with me.. i also grabbed the water body shapefiles for those 2 counties.

yeah, the reflectivity palette is custom, i cut it at 15dbz to cut down on noise
i haven't imported the tiger files for street-level mapping... but that will come soon

if you could somehow send me/upload the shapefiles for the bodies of water, that would be awesome
i can get the files from the census bureau for the roads, i think

sure, i can send the water body stuff in a just a bit

don't know if you've messed with it... but there's a style file that comes with the program called tigerroads.sty or something like that, used to parse the shape file or something.

i just need to make sure i grabbed you the correct style file for importing the water data. i'll check it out

check that out... you can add it to your placefile list and see how it works. i can also give you one to mark whatever coordinates you want for home/etc

once you understand how the placefiles are built, you can easily use php to generate them with raw data from nws or other sources

sheesh. sarcasm not portrayed well. I was referring to TWW'ers equivocation of evan and gay (using them as synonyms). I don't have a problem with evan, in fact, I appreciate much of what he does for TWW. I'm not freaked out by gays. If I was, I wouldn't have held one of my previous jobs. I have personal views on homosexuality, but I'm not freaked out by it/hate someone because of it.

And by the way I hate on and flame people equally on TWW. It's just the Internet anyways, ya know.
