Before:




After 45 minutes with a $10 harbor freight heat gun, all the rubber moldings and the big stainless stick on trim were gone from the lower body. Trouble is, a LOT of the double sided tape used to mount them was still on the truck.





A tall can of WD40, an 8oz bottle of 3M shit, and about 2 hours later, the bulk of the tape was gone.




Now onto the remainder of the shit. I have been at it working out the best way to loosen the old shit up a little- and it looks like at least another hours time till I get all the shit off. Truck is scheduled for paint Fri.

it's more or less a bigass eraser that can be chucked into a cordless drill. removes decals, adhesive, loose paint (not down to bare metal, mind you) - and a light wash and wax afterward and good as new

Try bug and tar remover then or gas since it is getting repainted
