The minimum number on my T60 running XP is like 15. After you wipe your computer and install all of your drivers you will have somewhere between 13-18. Currently my T60 is running 35. My desktop with Vista on it is running 52.

I don't tun antivirus and Spybot doesn't start up. There are a lot of processes that start up that you do not need to start up. Common ones are ituneshelp, viewpoint media player, quicktime media player, and adobe reader.
