love the first lawyer scene (not when they meet the lawyer, but when the lawyers talk)

I think it's funniest when the characters have no backstory, they're just one dimensional. So, I'm enjoying the new characters (Schwartzman, Hamm, Pine, etc.) more than many of the old people. Andy and Gene were my favorites in the movie but it's just weird seeing them act so different in the show. Oh, and damn Showalter, just Damn.

I watched a few episodes last night and I'm really enjoying it. Kinda has a Salute Your Shorts for adults feel. I'll finish the rest tonight/tomorrow probably.

Loved this. Just as off the wall as the movie.

Definitely would have never expected to see Chris Pine in this, and the fact he created the song from the 'training sequence' from the movie had me dying.

Gene is still my favorite character, and +1 to Jon Hamm also being hilarious. Their fight scene was classic, not to mention Gene was fondling a sweater right before it started.

Crossing my fingers they'll do another couple seasons.

there is some "Making of" thing on Netflix as well...I gave it about 3 minutes before I turned it off though. The hardcore fans might like it.

I have been a staff member at Jewish summer camps every year since 2004. Both the movie and the show are so incredibly accurate as to what happens at camp as far as the relationships, gags, drama, awkward kids, and so on. It may be why I was so displeased with the toxic waste scandal and the lawyers/government subplot (aside from Jon Hamm).

Things that have really happened to me at camp:

-Several parents have yelled at me because their kids were put in a different cabin than they were expecting
-Had an ex-marine head chef that was verbally aggressive towards his kitchen staff.
-2 friends of mine dated at camp, she wondered why he wasn't as affectionate as she wanted him to be and the rest of us didn't have the heart to tell her that he was gay.
-I had a 10-year old camper who although he showered frequently enough, on packing day I discovered he hadn't opened his soap or shampoo the entire time.
-When I was 17 I lost my camp "girlfriend" to a sexually open Israeli.

i just finished the series, thought it was great, maybe better than the movie.

i imagine some of the outtakes are hilarious, especially some of the paul rudd scenes (long greasy dick, sucking on your mama's flap-jack titties)

Enjoyed it overall. I didn't think the toxic waste subplot took away too much from other stuff. My favorite part was probably the anticipation of Gene's transformation.
Would recommend.

Just finished the new season. Starts a little slow, and is definitely ridiculous, but overall I enjoyed it, had some really funny jokes/scenes. Not much Rudd though (and Adam Scott replaces Cooper).

I just finished the new one too. It was completely goofy, but that seems like the point.
