^^get over it. puter puter puter puter.
I was working with the damn things prolly when you were shitting in yer diapers and playin' with your wee wee before it could spit.
Noen...pray tell...didya look? If not, all good. They're still out there. I can't justify buying a new puter right now, so I need to keep my 5 yr old puter going, albeit a little faster.

I asked nicely.
I'm just trying to help you from looking like a moron.
Clearly this idea is of no interest to you.
Carry on. 10/5/2008 12:22:24 AM |

buy this for $30 http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=A64-3700CF Then I will sell you a motherboard that will support your old ddr1 ram, your old agp video card, a NEW pci-E video card in the future, and all your current pci cards. supports ide and sata disks. I'll throw in an agp card that I know works flawlessly with it and a tv tuner card (w/ remote.. if I can find it) for $50, for another $25 I'll give you 1gb of nice geil ddr400 ram in heat spreaders. for ~$110 you will have a new computer that you can expand on in the future. I've decided I'd rather build a bigger NAS than my desktop and stream to my ps3 than finish my htpc project

I am unfamiliar with what, exactly, is a Barton core.
However, if Noen can't round up his, I think I've got a 2100xp sitting in a box somewhere. If that will work I can look for it. 10/6/2008 2:18:09 PM |

That's either going to be a Thoroughbred or a Palomino core.
the Barton is the hoss of the Athlon XPs. I've already got a 2200+ Palomino. 10/6/2008 2:25:00 PM |

yeah, bartons were a very short production 2500-3200+ that overlapped 754 opertons and a64s. they didnt sell well and are hard to come by, though the laptop versions were more common. 2800+ non-barton is actually the fastest socketA but good luck finding one of those. either way, the setup I suggested will be orders of magnitude faster than any socketA solution for $cheap /opportunist 10/6/2008 6:39:42 PM |

Barton cores are awesome. I'm still using my 2700+ or I'd offer it to him.... L2 cache FTW! 10/9/2008 8:17:12 PM |

I have dual 2500+ Barton mobiles in one of my servers, by far the best of the socket A chips. I am pretty sure they had the highest IPC of any socket A chip, and definitely had the lowest power consumption. But yeah, sorry, you can't have mine 10/11/2008 3:23:37 PM |
