Hey which should I take if I have the option- 200 or 210? Also, which professors are good for each one?

200... i had robin thomas and it was easy. 210 can be much more difficult depending on the teacher you have... i had p. gee and it was difficult. i would definitely go with 200.

really disagree with the person above me...210 is easy as fuck, 200(formerly 220) sucked...robin thomas is a douchebag...210 is simple math type stuff...i took it in the summer and that shit was cake...ask clcluppe or hockydries...quietly took acc 220 with me...we both got like b- in it i think

It totally depends on what you like. They're both different, but 200 will go over a few of the 210 concepts, as well as tax, in the very beginning of the class. Then you'll move on to the managerial concepts, like process costing, etc.
210 is going to be basic accounting concepts, like debits and credits, stocks, bonds, accounts payable/receivable, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, etc.

i took 200 just for fun. most of the business majors here at state are complete idiots.... so as long as you're not an idiot you'll be fine.

I had Goodson for ACC 200 last spring, and he was excellent: good explanations, took time going over stuff, really easy to talk to in and out of class. I'd say it was the most interesting class I've taken were I didn't do very well.

200 first, then 210. not a major problem if you do it in reverse order, but I suggest taking it in this order. After all, thats the reason they changed 220 to 200, because it sets you up for a few topics covered in 210.

either way, accounting bored me to no ends....glad im done with it and school!!

i liked 200 better because it had the problem session. you got a lot more practice with the material by having the once a week, hour long problem session. i promise.

if you get the chance to take 210 in the summer, do that...maybe thats why i thought it was easier than 200

I've added 210 because it fits my schedule (I pretty much can't take 200). When business schools say you should have some basics in accounting, is this enough, or at least worth it?

I would want to take it now if it kept me from having to take a night or online class in a few years.

200 and 210 give you the basics of accounting sheets, tax/cost analysis, and depreciation. Senior year you're given the opportunity to take ACC 420(?) if you'd like to gain more experience.
