Shocking. The most expensive places to live in the country are all near the bottom. This kind of poll is retarded. It's ALWAYS going to be more expensive to go to games in NYC, Miami, Bay Area, D.C., etc, etc...
And the bigger markets will ALWAYS be more critical of their favorite team/organization than the smaller markets who, in some cases, are just happy to have a major pro league franchise. 10/15/2008 6:47:47 PM |

Ya but the city of Miami Gardens isn't THAT expensive so theres no excuse.

motherfuckers act like they forgot about Dre the Chiefs
^relative to college football, thats definitely true...Kansas City however is probably the most similar tailgating environment to college that the NFL has

Arizona should be way higher. Stadium that is, not atmosphere. The freaking grass is completely on wheels and rolls out of the dome. 10/16/2008 12:07:54 AM |

I have been to Jacksonville. It's pretty dumpy, and the surrounding area (other than the river) is ghetto as hell.
In their defense, the Bud Zone is awesome ... I don't know why you'd want to go anywhere else in that stadium. 10/16/2008 11:02:00 AM |

It's because it is more than just stadium rankings. Team Quality is a part of it as well as Atmosphere which would obviously be better for a team that just won a Super Bowl versus their stadium partners who finished 4-12.
If it was just based on the stadium and not the atmosphere then I would agree, but since the other three categories are all similar in numbers I can see why they would be so different on the list.10/16/2008 11:25:33 AM |

Being that my parents live about an hour from Jacksonville and I have been to the stadium quite a few times, I cannot believe it is ranked #5. I guess it is because it is located by the river, but I do not think it is a top 10 NFL stadium at all. 10/16/2008 1:31:55 PM |

^ Agreed although Green Bay is nothing special as a town. I was almost shocked at how relatively small Green Bay is considering most NFL markets. I guess that is part of the charm of the Packer faithful and Lambeau and all.
I do think the people in Green Bay are great though. If it wasn't so damn cold/miserable in the winter, Green Bay would be a great place to raise a family. 10/16/2008 4:10:00 PM |

^Has nothing to do with the stadium. It's more of a move to broaden the NFL's fan base. Ralph Wilson Stadium is a little outdated and the tickets are cheap but the atmosphere and tailgating is arguably one of the best in the league. 10/16/2008 11:55:17 PM |

Why is that /thread? You do realize that the two gameday experiences are totally different, right? Giants tickets are more expensive first off and as one who has been to both teams games there, I think the Jets atmosphere is a bit better. Less corporate than the Giants and more crazy.
Obviously the Giants have better actual team quality and on field play than the Jets now and historically...10/17/2008 10:51:23 AM |
