Is it worth my time to use the NC State Career Services?
A little background on me: I graduated in Fall '04 with a Poli Sci degree, but I ended up not going to law school as planned and instead am in the process of finishing up my M.B.A. in finance out here in California. I plan on moving back to NC next spring to start getting settled and to start my longterm career...
I have SOME finance experience, but not a ton... Outside of posting my resume and looking through the Career Services job bank what other benefits could this possibly give me? Do they have networking events or at the very least contact information (I'm not bashful calling/talking to people that might help my career out). 10/20/2008 2:08:20 PM |

Yes, as long as you are a paying member of the Alumni Assocation, which I am. 10/20/2008 3:33:02 PM |

Before I graduated I was looking into career services and stuff. I can't remember how to access it now since it's been a few years, but they do have a giant list of employers that would be looking to hire from certain majors. The list isn't limited to Raleigh either, it's all over the country.
You could at least get on their mailing list and get updates on upcoming career fairs and stuff like that. 10/20/2008 5:10:35 PM |
