I was in Philly for the last school year. I feel cheated out of snow. We only got one that was about 5" and it was the best morning ever for my dog. If class had been canceled I could have let him play in that stuff all day.

i don't recall the scent of sewage, and it's funny you bring up trash when Raleigh is surrounded by places like Garner and Johnston County. Go to the state fair and then tell me that Philadelphia is trash.

^^^^ recently being the late-80's/early-90's. Though I'd still like to avoid the hellish war zones of the South Bronx and parts of Queens/Brooklyn.. Manhattan is much nicer than inner city Philly though...

I like the people in Philadelphia so far actually.

And it doesn't really smell that bad... at least not in Manayunk where I live.

I was actually walking back from picking up dinner at this little pizza take-out place down the street (In the middle of a residential zone? AWESOME), and it was all cold n' windy... and I thought to myself "I bet this place will be GORGEOUS in the snow."

It was really quite soothing.
