Handbrake, if you want to encode the DVD into a single, compressed video file

Do all of these copy the whole thing menus and all?

What about if you're on a Mac, and want to copy a DVD?

A football game was recorded on a set-top DVD recorder, and want to make duplicates.

then you don't need anything special i don't think. i would think anything that can duplicate a dvd will work.

on a Mac, to rip a DVD directly with menus and everything into a VIDEO_TS folder, and to do some basic stripping like removing foreign languages, use MacTheRipper

To encode a DVD or a VIDEO_TS folder into a self-contained movie, using xVid, DIVX or h.264, use HandBrake

---

to copy a DVD directly, open Disk Utility and create a Disk Image of the DVD. Then insert blank DVDs and burn the Disk Image to them

or use Disco for burning/copying - http://www.discoapp.com/

get dvd decrypter and dvd shrink

then get ripit4me and fixvts...run ripit4me (it uses dvd decrypter, but is updated with the newest cracks)...fixvts is run afterward and gets rid of blank/dummy cells, etc.
