So as many of you are aware, I am looking for a roommate to ride out my lease here in Greensboro. I posted an ad on Craigslist and have gotten a few responses, but this one was pretty interesting. I know it's a scam, but I am trying to figure out exactly what the scam is. Best I can figure is it's a broad looking to come into the country illegally. Help me out TWW. Here is our correspondence:

Her first message to me:

If you send her something about rent is $300, she'll probably mail you a check for $1000 and be like, "oh, could you mail the difference back to me, my employer made mistake"
