Haha. Well, I know that the candy survived the first few trick or treaters that came by because I poked my head out to check it out and replenish the supply. Within the last hour some kid without a parent to say "JUST TAKE ONE" must have come by and ran off with the rest. I still have some candy, but I am not putting the rest out there.

Had about 50 or 60 tonight. These middle schoolers came back later and tried cleaning us out of the massive amount we had left. We picked around the corner at em for about 30 seconds, then I ran towards the door at them yelling. Two of them sprinted off leaving their buddy who poured his bag all over the stairs and sidewalk. He was frozen with a look of horror on his face like 'I done fucked up now'. I opened the door and said don't worry, just take all the rest of this candy so I don't have to eat it, but don't tell your buddies about it until you clean it out. I couldn't tell if he was more eager about getting the candy or more eager about gloating to his buddies that he got the loot.

we had some mexican kids show up with no costumes and food lion bags full of candy and didn't even say trick or treat, just held out their bags.

After that we turned out the lights and shut down. I figure they get enough of my tax money, much less free candy.

I was dissapointed. I only got 3 trick or treaters, and 2 of them were my nephews. I live in a family neighborhood too. 2 of the local churches did fair thingies so I guess all the kids went there. So if anyone wants and skittles, gummy life savers, or smarties let me know. I have about a year supply at the house

We had 5 or 6 visits. We dressed our boston terrier in her pink princess costume to greet the trick-or-treaters. The last group had 3 girls about 13 or 14 years old but at least they were in costume. I kind of wish I had caramels to hand out to the mixed-race kids . One kid put on black pants & shirt and a cheap plastic Batman mask. He didn't even have a cape! Lame. The rest of the costumes were cool though.
