we were just walking by the belltower mart around 10 and we noticed a bunch of cops and people outside the mart. Apparently a bunch of people got thier ids taken and fined for drinking in the convenient store. The cops then told everyone they had to leave the premises after they got their ticket, or they would be fined for trespassing in the parking lot.

The tickets were bullshit. We walked out about 2 minutes before the cops got there so we were lucky. The convenience store next to NY Pizza pays for a permit for the hikes so that people can drink inside so I figured the bell tower mart did something similar. The guy working behind the counter gave everyone a paper bag and said to put our beers in them so that we could drink in the store. The store owners should get tickets not the students.
