i voted at Cary Town Center and uhh, they asked me my last name, then first name, then address. Then hey I got a ballot. Didn't have to show ID or anything at all to prove I was who I said I was...I like how easy it was and all, but isnt that kinda uhm sketchy?

Have you never voted in NC before? Four years ago, it was the same way for me as it was this year.

My brother was talking about this last night. He said that someone said something about going to vote in other states to help their candidate, and he knows a woman that only had to show a bank statement 'proving' who she was to vote! I had to give them my license, then they had the wrong address in their system for me, so they fixed it and made me sign something... etc.I did an absentee ballot in 2004, so I guess I didn't have to show anything then either.[Edited on November 1, 2008 at 11:48 AM. they made me go look myself up in the student directory and print it out. that's all they wanted, which i found ridiculous since i could've forged that in about 20 seconds. although really, i wouldn't have even had to do that, since they didn't want id. i could've printed out any entry in the student directory.

I thought this was odd too. I've never voted before, but expected to show an ID or something. I had an ID ready, but it wasn't needed.
