Sean Hannity is a very smart man. I value his opinion. Far more than I ever will of Keith Olbermann. I hope he is prepared to what will happen to his show once Obama is in office. He won't have anyone to trash talk anymore.

in MY opinion dude, I think anyone that can drop out of NYU and not completely fail at life and be as successful as he is makes him smart. Maybe his two new york times best selling books? Or he very popular Freedom concerts than many go to? Like I said in my opinion on who is smart and yours differ. I wish I could be that successful without my degree. And yes I DO think SOME people who are successful are very smart, obviously not all of them. There are a lot who aren't. And yes I like some of his opinions. Do you think Keith Olbermann is smart?

what the fuck does Keith Olbermann have to do with anything?? All I know about Keith Olbermann is that he makes liberals look like completely fucking reactive assholes, just as Hannity does for the right.

Having a successful book does not denote intelligence. There are WAAAAYYY too many examples for this, and if you can't figure that out, then I am truly sorry.

Also, freedom concerts. Really? Freedom Concerts? Anyone with that much money and clout (read: not intelligence) can assemble a concert. There's a vast difference in intelligence and popular significance.

Traci Lords and Jenna Jameson had best-sellers, for Christ's sake. Britney Spears probably will one day, too.

I wake up every day to 680AM WPTF, depending on the time of day I am either bludgeoned by Limbaugh's dogmatic rambling, Hannity's inane roboticisms or LuMaye's lowest-common-denominator pandering. I miss the days when I had a job that got me up early enough to catch Clark Howard or go to bed early enough to listen to jerkoffs calling about UFOs and poltergeists.


I don't know why I choose to get my political news from one-track close-minded conservatives rather than batshit insane liberals. I hate politics and yet I can't help but tune in, at least I'll have a heads up when the world comes crashing down upon us.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to hear someone talk about the news from a certain viewpoint. A lot of people that listen to Hannity or Olbermann are listening primarily to have their own views validated and/or reinforced. It may not be the best way to stay informed, but H and KO fill a need. It's called infotainment.

I do like NPR, don't get me wrong. I'd much rather listen to NPR than WPTF, but the whole reason I have my alarm radio set to the latter is because every time it'd go off I couldn't help but listen to whatever Rush was hollering about and, more often than not, it would result in a frustration or anger that would inevitably wake me up. Better than hitting snooze while rationalizing skipping parts of my morning routine for more sleep.

But if I ever listen to the radio in my car it's almost always NPR. Or LA LEY NOVENTA Y SEIS PUNTO NUEVE EFE EMEEEEEE

Brad & Britt on 101.1 ftw. They have the best coverage of local issues that you can find on the radio in the morning even better than NPR in most cases. Plus they try very hard to get candidates from state level races on their show and give them a platform to answer questions or make their case. Sadly, they don't have a podcast nor do they allow streaming via their website and ever since I bought my motorcycle I haven't been able to catch their show very often.

No he doesn't, he just tries to keep the spinning at a minimum. If he thinks somebody is giving talking points or spinning he will call them out on it and ask them hard-nosed questions. I'm conservative and I don't agree with alot of what O'Reilly says but the reason he gets the ratings is because he doesn't let anyone get off without being questioned.

I guess a lot of you won't watch O'Reilly factor. You should have watched it tonight. Obama AND McCain on. You think Keith O would have John McCain on and not been as nice and perfectly unbiased as Bill was towards Barack? There is a reason Bill O'Reilly has the # 2 rated show on Cable TV. Hell his show beat out CBS news (the freaking main time news on basic tv) Sean Hannity doesn't let people get too many talking points in, but Bill will definitely continue to keep his show a no spin show.
