True story:

I was in a store in Raleigh a few years ago (locally owned business). Speaking rather loudly to the clerk was a black male who was trying to return an item after its warranty had expired. The clerk and the male were going on and on about store policy, warranty expired, I want to speak to the manager, etc. Finally the black male says "Let me tell you who I am. I am the Vice-President of the local NAACP. If you don't give me a refund for this item, I will have the NAACP boycott this business."

I really was tempted to get into this charming conversation, but I didn't. Just shows that NAACP members and supporters live in some fantasy world that thinks everyone is supposed to do things as the NAACP desires.

Are you trying to say that you think it's unreasonable for a group that represents blacks to get INFURIATED at this situation?

AFAIK, these students don't even have to face the punishment of public humiliation. They get a visit from the SS, probably have this on their record, but otherwise nothing else happens to them. I don't blame the NAACP for perceive the administration as protecting these students.

An expulsion might be a little harsh, because it's obvious these racist dickbags need to be educated more than anything, but just ignoring it at this point isn't the right course of action.

moron I think these students have received their punishment.
