Anybody know a place where I can get a good chili cheese burger around the brier creek area? I have been craving some coney island dogs and burgers lately.

It's a trick; don't go to Chit Chat. That's where gunzz imposes his will on people.

Wouldn't that be a more appropriate measure of whether he knows which place to put threads like these? And anyway, why shouldn't this belong here? I can just see the Chit Chatters having a field day with a thread like this.

Red Robin has a good "knife and fork" chili cheeseburger. A bit expensive but damn tasty.

Other than that...?

There's one on Six Forks and also one off Creedmoor...the only thing you have to deal with though is traffic

Why would anyone recommend Red Robin?

That place is terrible for what you pay.

Red Robin is priced similar to any chain/bar hamburger and I personally think it's pretty good for what it is. What are you comparing it to when you say it is terrible for what you pay?

^^there's a 5 guys in north hills.

red robin has decent burgers, however i would not call them greasy. there's not really a good greasy burger place up there that i know of. there's a mcdonalds . i had sliders at uno chicago grill on monday and they were horrible.

This is unbelievable... Brier Creek has way too many yankees to not have a coney island style burger joint. A five guys is going to open up on creedmoore, but it will be a few months yet.

gone. The owners reopened as a Mediterranean place called Bada Grill.

There is a 5 Guys in Streets at Southpoint.

As for burgers in Brier Creek, Red Robin will probably be your best bet/

Red Robin can get fucked. Who wants to pay 10 bucks for a hamburger? I can't stand going into that place with my wife and dropping 30 bucks on essentially 2 burgers and 2 drinks.

if you're going to drive 10-15 minutes to get to a burger joint you might as well go to char-grill. there is one on strickland between six forks and lead mine, maybe 1 mile total from the 540 exit.

That place closed down a while back. Became some Kenny Rogers restaurant, and that even closed down and is something else now.

I like Jumpin' Johnny's near the Wal-Mart at Brier Creek. Good burgers and cheese steaks.

just go up 70 a little ways (west). 5ish miles on your left is a cook-out.

That place sucked anyway. I'm not surprised at all that they closed.

I know there's a Cook Out not far from there towards Durham. I think it was on 70.

^heh beat me to it.

Maybe if RR's fries weren't total shit I'd feel like I was at least getting a little value out of a $10 1/3 lb cheeseburger that would cost me like $4 at Hardees

I'm addicted to Fuddruckers. I think they've got a pretty good flavor, and they let you fix them however you want at the toppings bar.

They're overpriced for what they're worth, though. The last time I went for a 1/2 pounder, onion rings, and a drink, it was like $14.

It's not close close to Brier Creek but there's always Fat Daddy's down on Glenwood across from Pleasant Valley. They have some tasty burgers there.

The Draft House group, who owns Village Draft House, Sawmill Tap Room, Harrisons and so on has opened a place in the old Prime Only Spot at Leesville Shopping Center. They have great burgers that are hand made and half pound. Grilled to order, the Carolina Chili burger may just be what you are looking for. Get some REAL cheese fries or Beer Battered Onion Rings for one hell of a meal!
