When you guys were in middle school, did you ever read:

a) a Chinese fable about a Chinese worker that chips away at a mountain, but desires more power, so he becomes the weather and the sun and eventually the mountain, only to find another worker chipping away at him

b) a book set in the middle ages about a castle surrounded by the enemy, and they make this retarded kid go out, and the enemy feeds the kid, and the kid finds out the enemy gets their massive army from a magic cauldron, and the good guys win.
