Eagles should be fucking ashamed of themselves. The Bengals?? Really? LMAO at McNabb. I wonder if hes gonna use that same line he used after the Redskins game when he said he thought they should have won their last three games because "they were the better team"

Donovan McNabb = Faggot

^ No, he'll just use the "I'm a good player, but I don't know the rules" line. Dumbass didn't know games end in a tie after 15 minutes of OT. Andy Reid, WTF punting on fourth down under two minutes in OT. A tie is the same as a loss at this point in the Eagles season. FUCK YOU EAGLES!

The panthers had the most rushing in team history (264 yards)

and....

the giants ended the longest active (and 2nd longest ever) streak for a team to not allow 200+ rushing yards.

I know it was Thurs, but I believe Cassell was the 1st QB to pass for 400 and rush for 60

No, it is fun and exciting for college, but wouldn't transfer well into the NFL because of the quality of field goal kickers.

Could start the ball at the 40, but I'd rather just see them make a rule that each team must get 1 possesion(so if you score first the other team gets a crack) then go from there. Also make it that you just play till there is a winner get rid of ties.

It's almost more fair than letting a coin flip decide the outcome.

They keep playing until someone scores in the playoffs.

They keep playing in the playoffs until someone wins. In the regular season someone decided 15 minutes of overtime was enough.

Hockey used to go this route, playing one overtime period during the regular season, and if no had scored during that time, it was a tie. In the playoffs however, you keep playing until someone wins. I believe the NHL record for overtimes is 4 (off the top of my head as a guess), but the Hurricanes' minor league team had a 5 overtime game in last year's playoffs.

Then they got rid of the tie rule and replaced it with a shootout to decide a winner. Maybe the NFL should have each team's kicker line up from about 35 yards out and trade field goals, backing up 5 yards for each successive round until one team hits it at a certain yardage and the other misses.

^ That is the coolest idea I've ever heard. It's like a shootout for special teams.

or since it happens so rarely, just let it be a tie & move on for the next 5-6 years

the idea that either of those teams deserved a win is laughable

last one was pit and atl and it the half game kept the steelers out of the playoffs at 10-5-1

regardless, the nfl overtime system is flawed

Surprised that it hasn't been brought up yet in this thread that McNabb didn't know there were ties in the NFL (wtf dude how long have you played in this league again?) until the game ended.
