So I am at sears trying to get some tools for christmas with the friends and family plan and this guy walks up and is like that is a really nice toolbox. Normal chit chat stuff, then he asked me what I did for a living etc, so at this point I am becoming a little suspicious. So trying to be nice I ask him what he did as well and he was like I went to state as a communications major and now I work as a business retail marketing guy for companies to help them get there product sold online, so at this point I know that he is a Quixtar idiot.

So he is like whats your number we should hang out sometime, my wife gives him this you are a wierd creepy douchebag look.....

Really sad that a state grad isnt smart enough to figure out quixtar/amway is the biggest scam ever.

ROFL for being at Sear's on a Sunday

hmm, i used to get approached by these fucking human wastes all the time.

I think it's the fact that I always have my daughter in tow when i'm out and about.

instead, i have 40 year old women who have bratty teenagers and miss having a baby harassing me.

I really don't know which one is worse.

"wow don't see many kids your age in this section, what do you do"

"uh, i majored in business at state"

"oh wow, business eh? you know i'm actually starting up a web company, would you be interested in helping?"

"ah a pyramid scheme, no thanks, get a real job before you end up homeless"

Someone at work pitched it to me. I always thought they were really smart and had a lot of respect for them, and then they asked me if I wanted to go to someone's house on a Saturday evening to discuss a business idea with a friend of his who was flying in Chicago. I was intrigued, so I went, only to find out that it was just a fucking Quixtar pitch. One of the big top of the pyramid guys flew down there to pitch this bullshit in this guy's living room. It's amazing how quickly you can lose respect for someone.

Here they are: http://www.thisbiznow.com/quixtar/francis_success.html

It was hilarious because they gave me 2 of those "instructional" CDs (I ripped them and have them on my computer), then when I told the guy at work the next day that I had no interest, he was like "uuhhhh sooo can I get those CDs back then?"

Oh and the best part was they were all like "THIS IS NOT AMWAY. REPEAT THIS IS NOT AMWAY." when it fact it absolutely is Amway.

d (10:59:30 PM): quixtar!!!!!!!
V (11:02:02 PM): by the way here are the people
V (11:02:04 PM): that came down here
V (11:02:04 PM): http://www.thisbiznow.com/quixtar/francis_success.html
V (11:02:06 PM): that i talked to
d (11:03:00 PM): lmao
d (11:03:00 PM): The mentorship of their upline and the business support materials available through their organization has been critical to their success.

d (11:03:06 PM): that line for some reason, kills me
d (11:03:40 PM): that girl looks like the daughter ren on even stevens
d (11:03:51 PM): she's wearing that thing around her neck cuz that marine dude beats her
V (11:04:01 PM): haha
d (11:04:33 PM): lmao
d (11:04:42 PM): you take the mentorship program and marry the quixtar seminar with it
d (11:04:45 PM): and you have unlimited power
V (11:05:18 PM): haha
d (11:05:41 PM): http://www.quixtar.com/about/company/?cm_re=US-EN-2008.11.06.00001-_-Main.Banner-_-HelloAdCustVis

d (11:06:05 PM): this video is hilarious
d (11:06:10 PM): what a piece of work
V (11:06:14 PM): they always talk about that 7 billion dollars
V (11:06:39 PM): all you have to do is do the math
V (11:06:41 PM): from their own god damn video
V (11:06:46 PM): $7 billion in sales
V (11:06:51 PM): 3 million people involved
V (11:06:55 PM): divide up the money
d (11:07:07 PM): today and every day globally more than 12000 people will sign up for this business
d (11:07:12 PM): so add 12k people every day to that money pot
d (11:07:13 PM): ahahaha
V (11:07:32 PM): even if you took the revenue and pretended that there were zero expenses
d (11:07:35 PM): hahaha
V (11:07:38 PM): and split it up evenly between the 3 million people
V (11:07:43 PM): thats $2,300
d (11:07:53 PM): yea but
d (11:07:54 PM): what you do is
d (11:07:56 PM): you get 5 people under you
d (11:07:59 PM): and they are all making 2300
V (11:08:00 PM): then you take into consideration the people at the top of the pyramid are taking the mass quantity of that

d (11:08:02 PM): and each gives you 300 of that
d (11:08:05 PM): then each of them
d (11:08:08 PM): they get 5 under them
V (11:08:09 PM): that leaves pretty much nothing at the bottom
V (11:08:10 PM): lol
d (11:08:10 PM): and those people kick 300 up
d (11:08:15 PM): and then from that 300 the 5 below you kick up 150
d (11:08:19 PM): and it adds up
V (11:08:21 PM): ahahaha
d (11:08:21 PM): it really works!

ah, I've told this story a million times, but anyway

A guy in my public speaking class gave a speech about running your own business. Then afterwards I realized that he was doing Quixtar. *facepalm*. So, for the same speech, I literally spoke about why you SHOULDN'T join a pyramid scheme like Quixtar.
