http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2008/11/20/harvey.home.destroyed.waveThe sheriff really trips me out.
11/20/2008 3:59:48 PM
yeah he's a real cock about it for no good reason, either
11/20/2008 4:03:02 PM
that's pretty damned pitiful for a lot of reasons
11/20/2008 4:04:34 PM
lololololololololololololololololPaying some random non-insured moving company $200 to move your house? GENIUS!!
11/20/2008 4:04:40 PM
yeah, because she clearly had a choice in the matter
11/20/2008 4:05:20 PM
I'm sure she had plenty of choices, actually.
11/20/2008 4:07:42 PM
That sheriff don't take no guffHe looks like he's been on hillbilly heroin
11/20/2008 4:08:12 PM
did you figure that out before of after you discovered she lived in a house on wheelsbecause that's some fine investigation either way
11/20/2008 4:09:06 PM
"Now Francis, her boyfriend, her children and six others who were living there don't know where they'll spend thanksgiving."
11/20/2008 4:09:11 PM
^ her four (children)
11/20/2008 4:11:22 PM
12 people in one mobile home. There is no way drugs were not involved.
11/20/2008 4:14:14 PM
is this the part where we start talking about who deserved what
11/20/2008 4:16:05 PM
"We already got the turkey and everything, it's in the kitchen (points at pile of debris)"
11/20/2008 4:16:17 PM
Were they trying to move it using a Ford Explorer and a trailer?
11/20/2008 4:19:53 PM
where did they all sleep? Well, I guess you don't really need to sleep when you're doing meth all the time.
11/20/2008 4:21:24 PM
If I had 7 adults living in my trailer you better believe I'd be pulling at least $1400 a month in rental income.FREE MONEY::Raise The Roof::
11/20/2008 4:23:51 PM
Maybe she could afford it if she didn't have 12 people living in her house. Oh, and I got to see what kind of people give their kids Bratz dolls.
11/20/2008 4:29:12 PM
you have but to go to the garage section to witness this
11/20/2008 4:32:07 PM
Here is the actual news article for those that don't want to watch the video, nothing new or different from the video though: http://www.wave3.com/Global/story.asp?S=9383034&nav=menu31_2

Another article with a few more details: http://www.kentucky.com/181/story/597604.html
11/20/2008 4:58:19 PM
I put this on the same level as gambling with your whole life's fortune and losing. I have zero sympathy. She didnt HAVE to move it until she had more money for a proper moving company. She decided to take the risk and go the cheap way out.
11/20/2008 5:01:32 PM
exactly.
11/20/2008 5:02:20 PM
you guys and your lack of sympathy are so tuff
11/20/2008 5:06:21 PM
I sympathize with the 8 kids in teh house that have retarded parents.
11/20/2008 5:07:13 PM
I wanna get back to the 6 people living in addition to her and her bf and kids...Seems like it should be pretty trivial to rake together $1000 in rent between 12 people for an equivalent or better house.I do think the sheriff should have given more time, and the guy moving that should have been able to figure something out. That really sucks...but $1k/4 = $250Minumum wage = $6.55 now?250/$6.55 = 38.16 hours so working full time at a minimum wage job that's only 1/4 your monthly income... "Living off a car insurance settlement" says something[Edited on November 20, 2008 at 5:21 PM. Reason : heh, just like my HW I forgot to replace all my variables]
11/20/2008 5:11:46 PM
true she should have waited to move the thing, but to have zero sympathy about what happened? sounds like we've got some heartless assholes around here. no one deserves that kind of bad luck, even if it was the result of a poor decision.
11/20/2008 5:12:49 PM
11/20/2008 5:13:45 PM
wait wait wait... the minimum wage is 7.25?is that just the federal recommendation??
11/20/2008 5:17:50 PM
According to the last article, only four of them are adults. And my sympathy is with the children as well.
11/20/2008 5:18:32 PM
July 24th next year it goes to $7.25I misread when I looked it up...I was surprised b/c last time I worked an hourly job it was $5.15
11/20/2008 5:19:04 PM
ohhhh. yea i was gonna say i think it is like 6 something now.but yea. word.
11/20/2008 5:20:24 PM
sheriff dick:
11/20/2008 5:50:19 PM
damn thats pitiful maybe somebody will buy that lady a new mobile home
11/20/2008 6:51:27 PM
i'm sure after this video makes the rounds, she'll get a hook upCHARITY TO THE RESCUE[Edited on November 20, 2008 at 7:14 PM. Reason : aka SURPRISE WELFARE]
11/20/2008 7:11:40 PM
I read the article and I'm suspicious. Mobile homes lose their value really fast. After a few years, they're pretty much considered junk. And this woman is gonna get so paid now.
11/20/2008 8:16:53 PM
for the late night crew
11/21/2008 12:03:34 AM
kind of a dick move by the sheriff though. while the woman sounds like a tard, it seems like the sheriff deserves a swift kick in the balls. some attorney will end up suing on her behalf though.
11/21/2008 12:48:11 AM
11/21/2008 12:59:03 AM
shes own landland dammit!
11/21/2008 1:03:40 AM
I used to hear about mobile homes for $free-$500 all the time. Mostly people who were building and wanted someone to come haul the thing off the $300k property that they had just bought. Of course, that is a case where timing is everything. Market value and replacement value can be very different since there is probably not another $500 mobile home in the area for her to pick up.
11/21/2008 1:08:36 AM
It's not like the sheriff said to go destroy the trailer, it just happened to get destroyed while they were trying to move it from the road. The lady was obviously not going to do anything to fix the situation. Hell she is complaining about having to pick up the mess, saying she can't afford to HIRE someone to do it. She needs to start taking some more responsibility, and not expecting everyone else to come in a fix stuff for her.
11/21/2008 8:53:35 AM
This shit is fucked up.]
11/21/2008 9:54:52 AM
Next on Real Wives of Nicholas County . . .
11/21/2008 10:10:04 AM
I'll admit it, I laughed a lot. But I still feel bad for the lady
