whenever i go to an asian market, I always make a point to get at least one thing that seems pretty strange to me, or that I don't understand any of the language on it and dunno what it is. It usually ends up being a drink or a snack product as opposed to a raw ingredient, so I know I'll use it. I've gotten some surprisingly tasty stuff over the years, but I too have made the mistake of trying an aloe drink... nasty.

lychee soda sounds good. i had some lychee juiceboxes from the asian market and it's definitely a weird taste at first, but it's quite sweet.

^^That stuff is the worst. Got some for christmas last year. Ended up doing shots of it to see who could finish it without puking. Even had an antacid flavored one.
