^^ i know!! i was thinking that too. it used to be a reqd class. i could try to take both and then have no classes on mondays?? but then i would probably drop employment law so i would have 13 hours instead of 15. i took 16 this semester. too many.

well i agree if she wants to be an international lawyer then she should take international business transactions, but i would think that trial practice and procedure would be useful to ALL lawyers, not just the ones that want to work internationally

Take trial practice and procedure.

^^^Employers really don't give a shit about what courses you take in law school. Trust me...nothing she takes in that class is going to help her in what employers are going to want her to do her first year of employment either.

Practice and procedure is one of the few classes in law school that actually teaches you something that you might use if you practice. It is also very helpful in studying for the Civil Procedure portion of the Bar Exam.

And Trial Practice and Procedure is actually pretty interesting and not very intense from my experience. You're not reading hundreds of pages and/or writing papers. You're looking at real court documents and changing words and terms to fit your case...which is exactly what you do in real practice.

well maybe it will be interesting and yea the grading thing says you are graded on participation and your little mock trial thing instead of like an exam so that is kinda good.

Oh sweet...you get the mock trial thing with it too?? That's nice. I had a mock trial in a wholly separate class.

You really will enjoy the mock trial (if its done right).

But honestly...if you want to take the International Business class...take it. You can always do the Trial Practice class on a later date. I do recommend taking it at some point though.

I currently use webroot spysweep for protection, but I wondering if anyone knew of an excellent free antivirus software that I could download now? I don't think webroot is doing it's job.

I used to use Webroot, and I got my mom on it. However, I think now with Firefox and NoScript, a lot of usefulness is taken out of antivirus and anti-spyware programs. I told her last night that she shouldn't renew her subscription to WebRoot. She found avast! and loves it.
