wtf is fried squash?

I'm cooking as well. However i'm in Australia and they don't have turkeys here... so it'll be chicken. And they don't have canned pumpkin so i had to make a pie from scrizatch.

You can get turkey in Australia

Fried squash is simply delicious, that's what it is!

^sure you can, but not easily and not at any grocery stores i've seen.

hrmm looks pretty good. I've never heard of it before. We have nice normal northern thanksgiving dinners in my family.

turkey
cranberry sauce
mashed potatoes and gravy
corn, peas, beans, squash
rolls
pumpkin and apple pie

i think thats about it. what do you guys all traditionally eat?

Are you living in the outback? My friend from Perth says they eat it every year for Christmas and that they always got it from the supermarket.

normal thanksgiving dinner at my house is

turkey
cranberry and walnut jell-o
sweet potato casserole
stuffing w/ sausage and celery
honey baked ham
green bean casserole
cornbread + honey

and for dessert, derby pie and some other pies

this year my girlfriend and i decided to cook our own dinner at midnight, and since we are already getting two other thanksgiving dinners, we decided to go a less traditional route with steak, fried squash, baked sweet potatoes, and rolls
