I have contemplated taking similar action so that I can bump down the heat to 65 (currently at 70) and hopefully save a little more if all it means is a hat and a blanket in addition to my slippers, pj pants and pullover.

we set ours on 61 at night and leave it there until we get home from school/work. turn it up to 64 until bedtime

not too bad after you get used to it. i just keep my jeans, sweatshirt, shoes on and wrap up with a blanket if i'm sitting in the living room.
