If you use an actual receiver, you'll simply need a cable with an 1/8" headphone jack on one side and black/red RCA ends on the other ("Y cable").
For speakers - if you're looking to spend low, you cannot go wrong here: http://www.klipsch.com/products/lists/bookshelf.aspx (the RB-10 or the RB-51)
Also, if you're only doing music listening and other true stereo tasks, consider a passive subwoofer (as opposed to an active one, which plugs into the wall) - they're usually cheaper and provide a much smoother response at the frequency crossover point than in a setup with a powered sub. 12/2/2008 3:29:45 PM |
