I grew up watching the guy and loved the energy and enthusiasm he put into the recaps, plus I think he genuinely liked and pulled for NC State, at least since '83, though rarely did he slip from impartiality, he just seemed to get a little more excited when we did something big, like the UNC upset in '07, or during our ACC Tourney run that year....

When we first moved here, everyone thought my dad was Tom Suiter when he'd go out in public. It took my dad losing his hair to finally change this.

Charlie Gaddy, Bob Debartelaven, the elimination of the farm reports and Ray Wilkinson & Son, next thing you know Greg Fischel will be gone and WRAL will have finally left behind the classics

Really gonna miss him. Yet another thing from my childhood, either gone or changed forever .
I'll always remember when my Richmond Raiders won the State Championship in 89' and WRAL played that clip from the miracle finish (ball bouncing off guys pads in end zone and it being caught for the winning TD). They played it all the time!!!! He's always done a miraculous job with high school sports and working in the community. I agree, I think he was a Stater at heart which is all the more reason I'm sad. Seriously, I wonder how many minutes of my life have been spent listening to "Let's go to the video tape?"

bob hosted the parade of homes on sunday morning

as far as i'm concerned, the real news still comes from charlie gaddy

greg fishel showed up on weekends and it was a big thing that he had a degree in meteorology instead of just being a weatherman
