This is our third year using our computer to control the lights "

There is a house on 70 between Greensboro and Burlington, just inside McCleansville I think. I passed it on the way out to the FWB's house last night, and when I came home this morning at 6:30 the shit was still lit up. Which leads me to believe they just leave the shit turned on all night. Tackiest shit I have ever seen. I will try to get a pic next time I head out that way.

it would be cooler if they could sync it up with that radio station and it would change based on the song that was playing on the radio...

Light controllers + music = lame imo. And I say this as my own father has a set up with 30k lights. At least he doesn't have them all on light controllers.

210,000 lights . . . that's not as many as a house I've seen near Shallotte. We stopped and talked to the folks and they figured they had about a MILLION lights. The same house also goes nuts decorating for Halloween with witches and stuff hanging from every tree in the yard. I swear it looked like McAdenville all on one house.

I don't think the thing is running all the time. I remember watching an interview with one guy saying his only ran on the hour and half hour, and he stopped running it about 11pm and just left the lights on normal mode.

This would be easy to do.

There's a house down the street from me, where the lighits blink psychotically, but there's a small, poorly lit sign that says to turn your radio to a particular station, that they apparently are broadcasting on, that the lights synch up with.

It still looks retarded though.

the other show is probably at their power meter, bet it dances eagerly to the tune as well

I like the fades, that's gotta be PWM output to SCRs or something rather than the relay-switched stuff that was all over last year... pretty cool.

actually a lot of these appear to have fade-in and fade-out effects, I wonder if they're just killin' the fuck out of relays or using a proper PWM circuit, lol
